Peter Philip "Pete" was the eldest son PJ Du Val and Susan Lenfestey. He had a narrow face, with sandy brown hair, and blue eyes. One framed photo is a brown and white dated 1887, age 15; another has him seated on a table, with his brother Charley on a chair, a studio portrait taken at Montreal c1897.

Pete married well, his bride was Isabel Craik Tait, d/o Wm Tait and Helen Boa. The Taits were a prominent family of Scots Presbyterian background, landowners at Cote-de-Liesse, Ville St-Laurent, and Frelighsburg.

Peter was employed as a motorman with the Montreal Railroad, a civic streetcar operation. His health declined during the Great War, when he could not bear noise, consequently he had to retire early. His health was always fragile.
