John William Bryan born January 27, 1929, went to meet his Lord on April 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Sudie F. Bryan, his beloved wife, Nell Mitchell Bryan, and his son, John Michael Bryan, Sr.
He is survived by daughter Linda Bryan Murphy and husband Paige, son Robert Bryan and wife Margot and his daughter-in-law, Harriet H. Bryan. He was blessed to be Pa to his grandchildren, Heather Bryan Young, John Michael Bryan, Jr., Erin Murphy Mobley, Bryan Murphy, Hadley Bryan, and four great-grandchildren.
John worked as a mechanic at Camp Lejeune for 47 years and 7 months. He devoted his life to talking care of his family. Even as his health failed, he tried to take care of his children. He would remind us all to be careful, watch out for the other cars and "don't let anyone take advantage of you."
