Doris I. Mundschenk

Doris Isabel Mundschenk was born Aug. 29, 1901 at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Carl and Amanda Fogelstom. She died May 26, 1984 at Lander Valley Regional Medical Center.

She married James F. Barnes Feb. 5, 1920. She made her home in Omaha, Nebr. until moving to Kemmerer in 1939. In 1943 she moved to Laramie and following her marriage to George J. Mundschenk in 1952, moved to Manville. After his death in 1982, she made her home in Lander at Westward Heights Nursing Home.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Lander, having transferred her membership from St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Lusk. She is survived by three daughters, Edna Wenant of Bennet, Nebr., Dolores Shepard of Laramie and Maxine Matson of Lander; one son, Robert Barnes of Washington, Utah; four step-sons, Clarence Mundschenk of Elk Mountain, Paul Mundschenk of Billings, Mont., Harold Mundschenk of Palatine, Ill., and Duane Lull of Casper; two stepdaughters, Alice Conroy of Ventura, Calif. and Wilma Jones of Los Angeles, Calif.; thirteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Memorial services were at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk May 31, 1984 with the Rev. Beauferd Anderson officiating. Music was by Diane Leimser, organist, and Todd Leimser and Christy LaMaack sang "Just as I Am" and "I'm But a Stranger Here."

Pallbearers were Martin Glandt, W. T. Bredhauer, Eldon Alexander, Ed Baldwin, Allen Leeling and Harry Baars.

Interment was at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.
