Johnnie was a member of the Daysprings United Methodist Church and the Silvis, Il Garden Club. She was the secretary of American Business Women's Association and worked at Sable's Jewelers. She also worked for John Deere, Moline, IL, where she retired in 1985.
Johnnie relocated to Arizona in 1987, where she was treasurer on the board of Bradley Manor Town Homes Association. Johnnie was a rock hound for the Arizona Leaverite Rock and Gem Society, and was a part of the Maricopa Lapidary Society.
She also enjoyed playing cards at the senior center with her girlfriends. She loved the desert and four-wheel driving and her friend, Ed, who she met in 1989.
Survivors include, one daughter, one son, four grandchildren,special friend, Ed Borowski; brother Ed Jones, Shelby AL; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Johnnie Anne in 1944; a brother, Tom in 1998; and husband, Clint Allen in 1985.
