Early in 1885, he, with his father, the late Fred W. Eggers, Sr., established the F. Eggers Veneer Seating Company. The firm, at one time was one of the largest industries in Two Rivers. Six years ago he retired.Although at first his father was the active member of the firm much of the success of the F. Eggers Veneer Seating company was due to the energy and practical advice of the son. He became secretary-treasurer in 1892 and in 1905 he and his brother, the late Frank Eggers, took charge of the operation of the factory.
Masonic funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Beduhn funeral home. Interment will be in Pioneers' Rest cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral home until the hour of the services.
In addition to his duties with the veneer firm Mr. Eggers served ?????? ???? of the Two Rivers Improvement company, director of the Two Rivers Coal company and secretary of the Bailey Baby Chair company.
On January 8, 1894 he was married to Miss Agnes Doolan in Manitowoc. His wife, who died four years ago, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Doolan who were among the pioneer families in the county. She was prominent in charitable work. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. A.F. Stueck of Manitowoc, and Mrs. George Kroner of St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Lieut. F.W. Eggers, III of Wausau; one sister, Miss Louise Eggers of Two Rivers; three brothers, Dr. Joseph Eggers of Two Rivers, Dr. Harry Eggers of Omaha, Neb., and Dr. George Eggers of Cudahy; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Fred W. Eggers, 72, (photo) Two Rivers manufacturer, who died at the Holy Family hosptial here Saturday night, were held this afternoon from the Beduhn funeral home in Two Rivers. It was under Masonic auspices.
Burial was in Pioneers' Rest cemetery.
