The Tattnall County native was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church, Frank F. Baker Masonic Lodge 46 and Machinist's Union Local 23. He was retired from Union Camp Corp. after 23 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Anderson of Savannah; three sons, Jack A. Anderson of Collins, Wendell L. Anderson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pete Anderson of Savannah; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Mixon of Metter and Mrs. Virginia Grotheer of Garden City; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, 1 P.M. at the Chapel of Terry C. Massey Funeral Home. Rev. Troy Key officiating. Interment, Anderson Cemetery, Tattnall County.
Pallbearers were members of the Frank F. Baker Masonic Lodge.
