He was the son of Angelo and Nellie Dick Augustine, and attended Watertown schools. He served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1951 and was honorably discharged, and retired from the Evans Mills Agway.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marjorie; four daughters and their husbands, Debra and Delvan Streeter, Vickie and John Rice, Kathy and Spencer Harringer, all of Watertown, and Kim and Robert Gordon, Philadelphia; nine grandchildren, Tracy Rafferty, Misty and Paul Pacini, Kelly and Bill Monroe, Jordan Streeter and Amanda Nickerson, Kylee and Kris Monroe, Kristin and Scott Moore, Kari Gordon and James Kiah, Shana and Pete Simmons and Spencer Harringer II; sixteen great grandchildren, Hunter, Hailee, Tori, Matthew, Nicholas, Alissa, Kaia, Madallyn, Emilia, Jaylin, Lathan, Kacyn, Kaleb, Samara, Casey, and Kyle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, a brother James, and a sister, Ann Hunter.
