Funeral services for I.T. Hesser, who was killed July 30 in an automobile accident near Barnsdall, were held July 31 at Union Home Christian Church, eight miles northeast of Stillwater, the Rev. Virgil G. Nally officiating. The deceased, eldest son of William and Lollie Hesser, was born in Stillwater, April 20, 1893. He entered Oklahoma A. and M. College in 1914, and continued his college work until he became a World War soldier. On Thanksgiving Day, 1920, he married Gertrude Flesner of Stillwater. He engaged in the furniture business during 1920 and 1921. In 1925, the deceased finished his degree work in commerce and marketing at Oklahoma A. and M. College. In August, 1925, he entered the employment of the Skelly Oil Company and was in charge of the accounting and credit department of the company in Oklahoma. In 1929, he went to the Mid-Continent Oil Company as credit manager, which he held when he met his untimely death in a car collision early Thursday morning, July 30. Survivors are his widow, his father and mother, one son, Norval Dale; three brothers, Hugh, Jade and Verlin, all of Glencoe; two half-brothers, Harry Rush of Ava, Mo., and Water Rush of Hydro; a half-sister, Jennie Hobson of Drumright, and a large number of relatives and friends. The deceased was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic and Odd Fellow Lodges, the Chamber of Commerce of Tulsa and a number of sports clubs in Tulsa.
