Alois P. Leider

Alois “Al” Leider, age 87 years of Fredonia died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Woodland View Estate in Fredonia.

He was born July 5, 1919 in the Town of Fredonia, son of Robert and Lucy Grahser Leider. On June 1, 1946 he married Carol Jean Sanders at St. Rose of Lima Church in Fredonia. The couple farmed in the Town if Fredonia. She preceded him in death in 1971.

Mr. Leider was a member of Holy Rosary Parish and enjoyed farming, woodworking and playing sheepshead.

He is survived by his eight children, Mary Leider of Milwaukee, Audrey (Larry) Bares of Belgium, Sharon (Ronald) Voigt of Port Washington, Anne (Dale) Rosso of Random Lake, David Leider and James (Judy) Leider of Fredonia, George Leider of West Bend and Jeffrey (Gina) Leider of Cedar Grove, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother Greg (LaVerne) Leider of Fredonia and one sister, Helen (Robert) Arendt of Shawano. He was preceded in death by one brother Henry and two sisters, Julia Eischen and Lucille Vanderloop.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday evening, July 18, at 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary Parish St. Rose Chapel, in Fredonia with Father James Ernster officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium on Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
