Mrs. Mary E. Cole, 49, widow of Thomas Cole, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1958 at her home, near Hampstead, after an extended illness.
She was a daughter of the late Robert and Rosella Armacost Merryman and was a member of Grace Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary of the Hampstead Fire Co.
Surviving are a daughter and two sons, Mrs. George Lawson, Jr. and John N. and Robert Cole, all of near Hampstead: nine grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Merryman of near Hampstead.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Grace Methodist Church where the body laid in state from noon until time of service. Her pastor, the Rev. Donald T. McIntosh, officiated. Burial was in Grace Church Cemetery.
