DOVER Dorothy Pauline (Druck) Shermeyer was born in Hellam Township on October 29, 1923, and passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012, at York Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and home-maker. She enjoyed country living and working with the girls in the kitchen at PADE Auto Auction in Strinestown. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Paul M. and Lora M. (Druck) Druck, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Shermeyer, Sr.; son, Paul H. Shermeyer, Jr.; brothers, Arvin M. and Paul M. Druck; and a sister, Anna M. Shermeyer. Surviving children are her daughters, Bonnie L. Shermeyer of Dover, Peggy A. Drawbaugh and husband, Terry of York, and Joyce M. Gettys and husband, Barry of Dover; and a son, Michael F. Shermeyer of Dover. Services for Dorothy will be private at the convenience of the family. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Help Fund, c/o York Health Foundation, 912 S.
