Living with them were five children: Lurina Flowers, age 16, born December 1883; Edith Flowers, age 14, born November 1885; Carter Flowers, age 9, born July 1890; James Burley Flowers, age 7, born June 1892; and Roy Flowers, age 6, born February 1895; all born in Kentucky.
The 1910 Federal Census for Justice Precinct 4, Texas (Fannin County) shows Mary E. Flowers, age 50, born in Kentucky; and her husband, John Flowers, a farmer, age 51, born in Tennessee. Living with them were three children: James Burley Flowers, age 17; Roy Flowers, age 15; and Walter Sharon Flowers, age 9; all born in Kentucky.
Mary died February 26, 1912 in Bennington, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Bennington Cemetery. John died February 21, 1917 in Bennington and was buried in the Bennington Cemetery beside his wife.
