FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Adele E. "Cookie" Oberholzer Lehman, 50, of 2285 Hafer Road, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at her daughter's home at 118 W. Second St., Waynesboro, Pa.
Born Dec. 27, 1951, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Preston W. and Thelma McNamee Oberholzer of Greencastle, Pa.
She received her GED from Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
She was employed for 13 years as a press operator by Regency Thermographers in Waynesboro.
She was a member of Woman's International Bowling Conference; and the local and national 600 Clubs.
She was a member of Letterkenny Ladies League and Sunday Mixed Foxes, both at Nellie Fox Bowl in Chambersburg. She held several offices of both leagues, and was a board member with the Mason-Dixon Bowling Association. She participated in state and national bowling championships.
She was a member of Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post 373 Ladies Auxiliary of Greencastle.
She had been a Girl Scout leader; and played women's softball for the American Legion team of Greencastle.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Alan R. Lehman, whom she married on June 21, 1991;
three daughters,
Sherri L. Field of Big Bear, Calif.,
Becky L. Reyer of Waynesboro, and
Carrie L. Tressler of Marion, Pa.;
a stepson, Bradley Scott Lehman of Fayetteville;
two sisters,
Barbara Moats of Greencastle, and
Deborah Goetz of Chambersburg;
three brothers,
Preston Oberholzer of Chambersburg, and
Eric Oberholzer and Scott Oberholzer, both of Greencastle;
seven grandchildren; and
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
an infant brother, Paul W. Oberholzer.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. Michael J. Wentz will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
