Mildred L. Beery, age 85 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 17, 2007 at a local nursing home. Mildred was born on February 21, 1922 in Red Springs, the daughter of the late Cecil Ray and Mary (Biebelhausen) Beery. Mildred worked as cook at the Spinning Wheel for a number of years and then went to work at the Prairie Scooner. She also did some housekeeping for Bilmay and Fullers. Mildred was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano and the V.F.W. Auxiliary and past member of the Lake Drive Cemetery Association. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, and working at rummage sales.
Mildred is survived by: 2 sisters; Pearl Zaddock of Shawano, Elaine (Bob) Henn of South Milwaukee; 2 brothers, Elmer Beery of Clintonville, Jim (Elaine) Beery of Clintonville; and nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by: 3 sisters, Evelyn Yeager, Arlene Jump and Gladys Shulse.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday August 21, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. August 18th, 2007 - Swedberg Funeral Home.
