Nancy Jane "Jennie" Erwin was the daughter of James L. Erwin & Mary Elizabeth Moore. James L. & Mary Erwin, had five known children, Joseph Moore (Memorial # 40541338), Elizabeth F., William Pinkney (Memorial # 17205467), Nancy Jane, & Winfield S. Erwin. I have not been able to find any other trace of Elizabeth F. & Winfield S. besides the 1850 Marshall County, Kentucky census. I have also not been able to find James L. Erwin, his wife or family on the 1860 census. James is living in 1870 in Greene County, Arkansas with his son, Joseph Moore Erwin & family. His date & place of death is unknown.
Nancy Jane & Erasmus had a son named Homer Collier, born in 1879. He disappears after the 1900 census without a trace until his death in Raleigh County, West Virginia in 1945. His death certificate says he was widowed. If anyone knows anything about these lost years, please contact me.
