RUBY McBRIDE CARDWELL-KING
Ruby McBride was born in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana May 9, 1910 to Jasper L. McBride and Bulah Fredonia Acklen. She died March 23, 2001. Her obituary states that she was age 90 at her death and lived in the Hurricane Community.

Earnest Cardwell age 22 b. Alabama
Ruby Cardwell age 19 b.Louisiana
Earnest was the first husband of Ruby and he died young. He was b. August 15, 1907 and d. Sept. 25, 1930 at age 23. He is buried in Tulip Cemetery, Marsalis, Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. There is a photo of his tombstone!
Earnest was the son of William A Cardwell and Henrietta Cardwell. In 1920 they were living in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. This Census shows the following:
William Cardwell age 38 b. Alabama
Henrietta Cardwell age 39
Laura E Cardwell age 5
Mary L Cardwell age 14
*Ernest L Cardwell age 12
Susie B Cardwell age 10
Clayton Herron age 25, Boarder
