Peter of Navarre aka Pierre of Mortain was born in Évreux April 5, 1366. He was raised with the future King Charles VI, he became Charles inseparable companion.
In 1411, he married Catherine d'Alençon the daughter of Peter II of Alençon, count of Alençon, Chartres and Perche, and Marie Chamaillard, viscountess heiress of Beaumont-le-Vicomte, Dame de Saosnois.
Pierre de Navarre, died July 29, 1412 in Sancerre, left his young widow without children. She married October 13, 1413 Louis "Duke of Bavaria, brother of Royne Isabel of France".
