Primary Department:
"This department has been very ably managed by Miss Esma Drake, a sister to the County Superintendent. Her career as a teacher has been marked by strong instruction kindly given.
A little child above all others needs careful enthusiastic training. Then the mind responds easiest to outward influences. Then the heart can be readiest shaped toward nobler impulses. So frequently young children are placed under incompetent hands. We have seen the fearful folly of such mistakes and have sought to secure a teacher splendidly equipped in head and heart to win and woo them towards a higher plane of thinking.
Miss Drake is especially adapted to this work. Her gentle disposition soon gains the love of her pupils and she readily advances them in her department. The tuition will be one dollar and fifty cents per month. "
