DOLORIS J. MANTELL, 83, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the SOMC Hospice Center.

Born on September 13, 1929 in Bluefield, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Margaret Frantz Dadosky. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Dolores was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Wheeler and Sue Frederick; three brothers, Bill, Jim and Frank "Bruz" Dadosky.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Harry "Ed" Mantell, whom she married on September 25, 1948 at St. Mary's; two sons, Tony (Theresa) Mantell of Wheelersburg and Tom (Laurie) Mantell of Hilliard; five daughters, Janie (Dick) Lee, Barbara Barney, Margie Mantell, Connie (Tom) Hirschy and Michele (John) Harkins, all of Columbus; two sisters, Annette Russell of Indianapolis, Indiana and Marge Krause of Lexington, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Jennifer Middeler of Columbus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, with Father Adam Streitenberger as celebrant. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the ADKINS-BRANT FUNERAL HOME from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. A Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Williams Syndrome Association or Oakstone Academy (Autism).
