Kathryn J. Pangborn, 105, of Cazenovia, died Friday at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. She was born on April 7, 1908, the daughter of Arthur Beuchat and Mary Louise Whiffen. Mrs. Pangborn raised her family as a single mother after her husband died by working various jobs such as housekeeper and Nanny. Later in her life she was a home care nurse for 25 years in the Cazenovia area. She was a communicant of St. James Church for 85 years, where she belonged to the Living Rosary Society. She formerly volunteered for RSVP and the ARC. Her faith and her family guided her through life. She is predeceased by her husband, Howard in 1939; her sons, John in 2007, Bill in 1999, Walt in 1970 and Donald in 1932 and her daughter, Shirley in 2004. She is survived by her son, Robert of Endicott; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Church, 6 Green Street in Cazenovia. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Tait Funeral Home, Inc. 2333 Fenner Road in Cazenovia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. James Church.
