Ray graduated from Georgia Military College, attended the University of Tennessee and received his Masters Degree in Business from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked in the financial industry retiring from Industrial Development Corporation of FL. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Judy; children, Kevin (Connie) of Cumming, GA and Douglas of Orlando, FL. He was predeceased by his brother, Gentry.
