Ostie Coy Robbins was the youngest of the children of both William Robbins and Cyrene Harris Mobley Robbins. Her brothers were Charley Coy Robbins and Oscar Coy Robbins. Ostie's half sisters were Ann Robbins, Mary J. Robbins, Eliza A. Robbins, Clarinda Robbins, Martha Angeline Mobley Elliott and Mary Elizabeth Mobley Foster; her half brothers were Joseph Ellsworth Robbins, John Robbins, William A. Robbins, William Calvin Mobley, Sylvester Dunlap Mobley, and George Washington Mobley.

Ostie's mother Cyrene Harris Mobley Robbins, brother Charley Coy Robbins and half brother William Calvin Mobley were buried on the "old Robbins farm", now known as Carson Cemetery.
