Holstein resident, Darlene Loraine Wengler, 80, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at her home. Darlene was born October 8, 1932 to Albert and Jeanette (Hopper) Lang in rural Blue Hill, NE.

Her Baptism was at Shellhammer County School, April 17, 1938. She attended grade school at Shellhammer County School and High School at Holstein (NE.) Public School where she graduated in 1950. When she was 12 years old she drove tractor for her dad until she married in 1951. In 1971 she started work for Ag-Tronics in Hastings, NE. Coleman bought them out and moved the factory to Kearney, NE. She worked for them for 26 years until she retired in 1997.

Darlene married Dale Wengler in 1951 and they later divorced in 1959.

She is survived by: sons, Wes Wengler and wife Linda of Blue Hill, NE., Gerald Wengler of Campbell, NE., Harry Wengler of Holstein, NE. and Roger Wengler and wife Bea of Holstein, NE.; daughter, Marcy Podewitz and husband Fred of Ozark, MO.; step-son, Kenny Patro of Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Donald Lang of Holstein, NE. and Rodney Lang and wife Joyce of Campbell, NE.; sisters, Norma Jean Robirds of Hastings, NE. and Phyllis Gilmore and husband Ron of Phoenix, AZ.

Darlen was preceded in death by: parents; son, Steven Craig "Steve" Wengler; daughter-in-law, Betty Wengler; sister-in-law, Marlene Lang; grandson, Jonathon and great granddaughter, Adeline.

Burial was in the Holstein Cemetery, Holstein, NE.
