St. Albans Town – Ralph A. Austin, 69, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Ralph was born on December 16, 1943 in St. Albans, the son of Fay and Grace (Ducharme) Austin.
He was employed as a machinist at General Electric for 22 years. Ralph was a history buff and especially enjoyed politics and studying an atlas.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline (Garceau) Austin; two sons Anthony and Matthew Austin and a granddaughter Jenna Austin all of St. Albans; his sisters, Ramona Giroux of Swanton and Janice Austin of MA; a brother, Robert Austin of FL; many nieces and nephews and friends Kathy and Karen to whom Ralph's family extends special thanks.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was predeceased by sisters, Pauline Gowan, Arlene St. Marie, Elaine Bryce, Esther Putnam, Lucille Bevins and Leona Bevins and brothers Byron, Kenneth, Harlan "Chick" and Wayne Austin.
