Brigman

Myron W. Sr., age 85, died Thursday, September 21, at Presbyterian Hosptial. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Taylor Brigman, in 1993. Mr. Brigman was born in Maypearl, Texas on July 5, 1910, the son of Robert M. (Bob) and Eva (Gilmore) Brigman. Mr. Brigman had two brothers, Lowell and Travis, both now deceased. During WWII, Mr. Brigman served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed on Ascension Island in the Atlantic Ocean. Mr. Brigman was a retired master electrician. He was a member of Brandon Avenue Methodist Church. Mr. Brigman had many interests. He especially loved books, crossword puzzles and music. As a small boy, he attended his grandfather's singing school and assisted with him in teaching and choir-directing. He was a faithful member of the choir at Brandon Ave. Methodist Church for over 50 years. Mr. Brigman is survived by a son, Myron W. Jr. of Springfield, IL; and a daughter, Anita Beth Brigman of Denton, TX; two grandchildren; two aunts; and uncle; many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and his beloved cat, Miss Tippy. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Septemeber 24, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at Lamar and Smith Chapel. Memorials may be sent to the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, 3003 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, Texas, 75234 or the Brandon Avenue United Methodist Church, 2754 Brandon Ave., Dallas, TX, 75211. A visitation for Mr. Brigman will be held Saturday, September 23, 1995 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
