NOTE: His grave stone has his birth in 1888. The 1900 and 1910 census have his birth in 1887 but his World War I Draft Registration and death record a line with a 1890 birth. His younger brother John's birth also varies from 1890 to 1893. John received a Delated Birth record with the year 30 Jul 1891. That date will not work if Thomas was born 30 Dec 1890, the date on his WWI Draft Registration.

Thomas is the son of Abner B Tansil and Alvarda L Harrison.
He married on 1 Nov 1917 in Benton County, Tennessee to Giva Marie Rigsby. Giva had just turned 15 years old. A year after their marriage Tom was kicked by a mule and killed.
