John Tyson, 80, retired farmer and life-long resident of Washington County, died at his home in Harrison last week after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at Harrison Baptist Church at 3pm Sunday (sic) with the Rev. Rufus Hodges, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dublin officiating. Burial was in Tennille Cemetery.
Mr. Tyson is survived (sic) by two daughters, Mrs. Roger Shurling, Harrison, and Mrs. McKinley Sheppard, Wrightsville; and by two sons, Joe Tyson and Robert Tyson of Harrison.
