Woodrow M. (Woody) Bennett, 67, of 5114 Highway 144, Owensboro, died Thursday, October 2, 1980, at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. He was born in Daviess County, was retired and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lois Elena Blackaby Bennett; a son, Wendell Bennett of Stanley; a daughter, Mrs. Danny (Anita ) Magan of Owensboro; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, John Linley & Eugene Bennett, both of Owensboro; and a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Artie) Sands of Red Hill. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation after 3 p.m. today. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
