Francis states he has been married 57 years which puts his first marriage at 1843 and confirms Emily Ann Modglin as his first marriage.
Francis is 78, Martha L is 69 (which correlates with her being 57 at first marriage in 1887)
There is another marriage for Francis S Glass in Illinois: Mary L Davis. but this Francis is born in 1828 and the son of Joseph Glass and Frances (Hanna) Glass. They show up in the 1860 & 1870 & 1880 Census in Pope County. However this only adds to the confusion as William Davis first wife is Mary Crawford making her a Mary Davis.
