Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Arnold, 92, of Corpus Christi, a former resident of Mission Valley, who died Friday night at a Corpus Christi nursing home, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Mission Valley.
The Rev. Harold Tesch will officiate with burial in Mission Valley Cemetery, under the direction of McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home.
The body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. Monday until time of the services.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel.
The family requests that in lieu of the usual remembrances contributions be made to the Educational Fund of Zion Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Arnold was born March 24, 1885 in Mission Valley, to the late Eibe H. and Dorthea Addicks Toerck and lived there for 67 years prior to moving to Corpus Christi 26 years ago. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Her husband, W. H. Arnold, died in 1952.
Surviving is a daughter, Miss Dorothy Arnold of Corpus Christi.
