Iris Rohrbouck, 83, of Laurel, IA (formerly of Alliance, NE) passed away March 15, 2012 at her home.
Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Laurel Methodist Church with Pastor Marv Siems officiating. Memorial Services will be held in Alliance, NE at a later date.
Iris Lucille Warnke was born on October 30, 1928 in Ericson, Nebraska; she was the daughter of William and Hattie (Miskimen) Warnke. Iris attended school in the area of her birth graduating from Bartlett, Nebraska, with the class of 1946. On February 15, 1948, Iris was united in marriage to William Jacob Rohrbouck. They both resided in Alliance, Nebraska where Iris was a homemaker. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Alliance. Iris enjoyed her flowers and gardens, sewing, camping, traveling to Seattle,Washington to visit her sister, and she loved to spend time with her family and of course her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish Iris's memory are her children: Robert Rohrbouck of Rapid City, South Dakota, Janice (Norm) Richardson of Chadron, Nebraska, and Pam (Terry) Hugen of Laurel, Iowa; her grandchildren: Hattie Mae Hugen, Hallie Hugen, Richard Broderick and Robert Broderick; her four great-grandchildren; her five step grandchildren; her sister, Violet Davis of Belfair, Washington; and her special companion: dog Trixie.
Iris was preceded in death by her husband William in 2002 and her son William "Billy".
