Peggy never let her mind stop working, even when most of her body did. She played the stock market where she did quite well.
In 2001 Peggy was diagnosed with breast cancer and surgery was performed. Unfortunately, the Muscular Dystrophy had progressed to the point of hindering her ability to swallow and breathe. She died one week after turning 62.
