Albert Leon Clagett, 94, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at a local care facility. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home. Albert was a native son of Carrollton, Ky., having been born there April 3, 1919. He served his country honorably and proudly for 27 years in the United States Air Force before his retirement in 1967. He loved to fish, play dominos and spend time with his family. Many have often referred to him as one of the nicest men they have ever met. He loved his family dearly and was always father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Ann Clagett, on Feb. 2, 2011; brother, Morris Clagett; and sister, Daphne Mitchell. Survivors: Sons, Charles Clagett of Weatherford and James S. Clagett and wife, Gina, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Brian Clagett, Ruth Ann Ahola and Bradley Clagett and wife, J J; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Katy Ahola, and Cole and Isabella Clagett; brother-in-law, Tom Swearengen and his family; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ellich and her family, Alice Glover and her family and Billie Swearengen and her family; and niece, Leslie Jo Deal and her family.
