Ellen (Green) Sizemore, 72, of Gaffney,l SC, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her home after an extended illness.

A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Dewey L. Green and Eulala Dupre Gowan and step-daughter of the late Clyde Gowan. She was the widow of Floyd H. Sizemore.

A member of the Ottaray Baptist Church, she was formerly employed with Conso Products.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Whitehead, Donna Sue Nave and Carole Caldwell, all of Union; two sons, Floyd H. "Butch" Sizemore of Spartanburg, John Sizemore of Gaffney; a sister, Jackie G. Moore of Union; two brothers, Dr. J.L. Gowan of Georgia, D.L. Green Jr. of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Putman Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Allen Taylor.

The family received friends 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2001 at the funeral home.

Memorials could be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Suite 300 Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
