Annie Elizabeth Daniel was born in 1840 to Benjamin Digby Odlum and Mary Punch of Victoria County. Her father was a member of Fannin's Georgia Battalion and survived the Goliad Massacre. On November 30, 1857, Annie Elizabeth married Richard William "Dick" Dowling in Houston at St. Vincent's Church. Dick Dowling was distinguished officer during the Civil War. He died September 23, 1867. On February 16, 1870, she married Walter R. Daniel in Galveston at St. Mary's Cathedral. He died on August 16, 1916 in Port Neches, Texas. Following her husband's death, she moved to Dallas to live with her daughter, Mrs. Godwin Jones. Annie Elizabeth passed away on May 13, 1918.
