Mr. William Donaldson, who some years ago occupied an important position here, yesterday met his death by drowning in the Canal near Cote St. Paul. It appears that the deceased, who was about 60 years old, early yesterday morning left his house on St. Margaet Street, St. Henri, to take a walk, and being very subject to epileptic fits it is supposed that he took a fit while near the embankment and fell into the water. The body has been recovered and an inquest will probably be held.
