Torbrook Mines -

Mr. Arthur Pooley and bride arrived here on Thursday of last week to attend his father's funeral which took place on Friday p.m. A large concourse of friends and neighbors of the late Mr. Matthew Pooley assembled to pay their last respect to one whom they were always pleased to meet and who always had a kind word for all. We shall miss him in our daily vocations, but we will trust our loss will be his gain. The funeral was conducted by his Pastor, Rev. W.R. Turner who spoke fitting and appropriate words from Rev. 14: 13 Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. The music was thoughtfully arranged and well rendered by the choir and other friends who lent their assistance. The body was laid to rest beside that of his wife who predeceased him just one year before on the same day of the month. We extend sympathy to the bereaved.
