Joseph Updike Ware, of the Oak Ridge community of Williamsburg County, died June 22, 1967, died in Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ware was born August 16, 1891, in Camden, NJ, a son of George Moore and Elizabeth Sharp Ware.

He worked 41 years for Camden Forge. He was a hammersmith.

He was survived by his widow, Beatrice Flegel Ware of Andrews, SC; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Flegel of Andrews; a stepson, Charles A Hendrickson of New Jersey; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Michael Smyser of York, PA; two brothers, Theodore Ware and George Ware, both of Michigan; four sisters, Mrs. James Keller of Michigan, Mrs. Raymond Reimel (?), Mrs. Ruth Krause, and Mrs. Hattie Corrado, all of New Jersey; four grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were June 25, 1967 in Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in Oak Ridge Memorial Cemetery.
