The Abraham and Catherine Myers Family
Abraham Myers was born October 22, 1796. He married Catharine in May of 1819. She was born December 17, 1795. They lived in Pennsylvania. They had ten children:
1. John M., born March 10, 1820. He died in 13 Feb 1865 at the Danville Civil War prison in Danville, Va. (Terry Haun)
2. *Maria, born May 15, 1821 and died October 18, 1844.
3. *Jesse S., born April 26, 1823 and died September 2, 1899. (Jesse Kissel Myers)
4. *Daniel, born January 3, 1825 and died June 14, 1864 from injuries received in the Civil War.
5. *David W., born February 6, 1827, and died August 19, 1869 from injuries received in the Civil War.
6. Samuel, born August 9, 1830 and died May 5, 1855.
7. *William H., born August 21, 1832 and died June 25, 1888.
8. Levi, born December 16, 1834 and died February 23, 1837.
9. *Josiah, born April 7, 1837 and died July 23, 1837.
10. *Ann Elizabeth, born July 26, 1838.
Catherine Myers died March 26, 1846.
Abraham Myers died December 8, 1892. He is buried in the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly, Iowa.
Daniel and David both lost their lives in the Civil War. I was told that one brother fought for the Union and the other for the Confederacy.

Suggested edit: Her parents were Daniel Maurer (died about 1826) and Mary Kissell (died 1830). They both died in Huntingdon Co, PA and burial location has not been found yet. Their daughter, Catherine Maurer Myers (spouse of Abraham Myers) named their third child, Jesse Kissell Myers.
