At age 87 he died at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. He was a member of Brownstown Christian Church where he served as a deacon for several years. He was a brick mason for 40 years.
Born Feb. 14, 1914, in Washington County, he was the son of Norval & Pearl Cox Sweeney. He married on March 6, 1937 to Marjorie Malloy Sweeney and she died in 1994.
