Mr. Walter Renay Deems, of Barnesville GA., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Deems, Sr. and Evy Deems; brothers, John Deems and Curtis Deems, Jr; sister, Minnie Gordon. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.
Walter is survived by his wife, Johnnie Deems of Barnesville, GA.; children, Kathy and her husband Johnny Pines, Wanda Lowery, Ricky Deems and Nicky Deems; grandchildren, Elisha Vaughn, Holly McBroom, Jason Pines, Bradly Pines, Stephanie McCrakin, Bryan McCrakin, Tabitha Deems, Amanda Youngblood and Walter Ryan Deems; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ivy Vining.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Collins officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
