Rick was born May1, 1957 in Borger to Max and Frances Johnston Hefner. He graduated from Borger High School and went to college and recieved degrees in animal science and chemistry. He married Sandra Kaye Hayes September 3, 1977 in Borger. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where he taught the Adult Sunday School Class and many other churches. He loved horses and livestock.
He is survived by his wife Sandra of Stinnett. Parents Max and Frances of Stinnett. Son Keith of Dallas. Sisters Angela Cook and husband Travis of Calera, OK and Becky Basham and husband Charles of Skellytown. Brother Tommy and wife Becky Dee of Stinnett. Nephews Larry wade Spencer and wife Tori, Derek Hayes and wife Kara , Max Lee Hefner and Josh Hefner. Nieces Charity Hope and husband Mark, Amanda Welch and Amy Day and husband Brian.
