According to her death certificate Luta was the daughter of Stephen Coffin (born in Racine, Wisconsin) and Sophie M. (Kellogg) Coffin (born in Illinois.) The newspaper obituary added to Mr. Coffin's memorial states that, at the time of his death in 1930, his only surviving family members were a daughter, Mrs. A. V. Anderson of Spokane, and two grandsons.
Luta and Mr. Anderson seem to have not had any children. Luta had been previously married, ca. 1899, to Harry Bridgeman Trow (1878-1928,) and he and Lula had two sons, Raymond Bridgeman Trow (1900-1974) and Walter C. Trow (born ca. 1903.)
Mrs. Anderson died at 1625 West Alabama Street, at the home she shared with son Raymond Trow and daughter-in-law Helen, from uremia, complicated by hypertension, arteriosclerosis, and senility. At the time of her death she was a widow, and had lived in Houston, Texas, for seven years.
