Noah Billbe, 84 year-old resident of Decatur, died Monday at the Gravette Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness. Mr Billbe was born July 4, 1891 in Dexter, Kansas and had been a longtime resident of this area. He had operated a service station in Decatur for 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church there.
He is survived by tree sons, James Paul Billbe of Decatur; Robert Howard Billbe of Noel, Missouri; and Ralph Leslie Billbe of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven daughters, Mrs Goldie Mae Lashley, and Mrs Norma Jean Divelbiss, both of Medford, Oklahoma; Mrs Inda Moore of Rainer, Oregon; Mrs Hazel Kloer of Scammon, Kansas; Mrs Cynthis (Toody) Cross of Enid, Oklahoma; Mrs Betty Thomas of Chino, California; and Mrs Patricia Ann Amos of Decatur; 57 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Note: Mr Billbe was to be buried beside his first wife Martha Devine Jones but a grave appeared to have been there in the past unmarked, so Mr Billbe was buried in the row (10) just east at Martha's feet. Martha's mother Cynthia Montgomery Jones is at the right side of Martha.
Noah married 3 Mar 1968 Zilpha Barnes Austin, b. 14 Jul 1894, who survived him in death and d. 27 Dec 1979.
