In his home on the northwestern border of Mayville on the road to Theresa, Albert Christian Birr died Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. after a brief illness at the age of 68 years, three months and 13 days.
He was born in Germany December 23, 1849 and came to the neighborhood of Mayville many years ago, where he has always lived since.
Besides his surviving wife, he leaves behind one daughter, Mrs. Christ. Bruni of Mayville.
Two sons, Richard and Rudolf Birr, preceded him in death.
The funeral was held this Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. F. B. Dunkley, at Graceland Cemetery.
