MARY A. LEWIS OF EDINA DIES AT 83

Mary A. Lewis, 83, of Edina died Saturday afternoon (02 Aug 1975) at 2:40 in the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina, where she had been a patient since Nov 14 1974.

Born Nov 24 1891 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Josiah and Maria Suzanna Evertson Roush. On Feb 14 1912 she was married to Pearl Lewis who preceded her in death of Nov 14 1960. Also precededing her in death were four sisters, Mahala Roush, Ella Welcher, Vinnie Schofield, and Della Ashby and three brothers, Jacob Roush, Pearl Roush, and Emmett Roush.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Hortense) Spatt of Cuba Ill and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Stone and Mrs. Clifford (Darlene) Hagerla both of near Edina; five grandsons, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister Mae Schofield of McIntire, Iowa and one brother, Miles Roush of Lewistown.

Mrs. Lewis resided on a farm south of Edina until 1938 when she moved to Edina. She was a member of the Edina Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina. The Rev. Ronald Garner, pastor of the Edina Assembly of God Church, will conduct the services.

Entombment will be in the Linville Mausoleum.
