Born March 10, 1933, in Atchison, KS, he was the son of Eldon and Elnora (Cain) Harris. He was a mechanic and retired as auto shop foreman with Southwest Research.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; daughters,Loma Linda Skloss and Donna Murphy; sons, Jerry Harris and Tom Jacobs; brother, James Harris; sister, Joyce Baer; and grandson, Thomas Jacobs IV.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean (Gould) Harris; children, Larry Harris, Richard Harris, Bobby Harris, Larry Miller and wife Cruz, Connie Corley, Lynn Carter, Chrissy Green, Sandra Reyes and husband Julian, Thomas Harris, James Harris; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Hollingsworth and husband Benton; and brothers, David Harris and wife Connie and Eugene Harris and wife Carmen.
Visitation will be prior to the interment on Tuesday, April 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.
