MICHAEL PALUCK of Moose Jaw, born in Pelly, Saskatchewan October 1922, passed away February 15, 2005 with family by his side. While serving with the R.C.A.F. he met Anne in 1944 and the couple were married the next year. He farmed a few years in the Pelly area before taking employment with the CN Railway. This brought on many moves with his family until settling in Moose Jaw in 1961 where he had since resided. Mike was an avid gardener, bird watcher and fisherman. He lived for hockey, becoming an active proud member of the Warrior Booster Club. Predeceased by his daughter, Connie (1945-1955), his parents, John and Polly Paluck, step-father, Dmytro Soltys, sister, Elsie Lasko and brothers-in-law: Harry Lasko and Norman Schow. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Anne of 60 years; his children: Donna (Herb) Harrison of Regina, Pat (Bruce) McCulloch of Moose Jaw, Brenda (Kirb) Pickford of Chilliwack, B.C., Randy (Patty) Paluck of Saskatoon, Marilyn Paterson (Steven Chan) of Moose Jaw; fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also leaves to celebrated his life, sister, Jennie Schow; brothers: Tony (Jean), and John (Vi) and step-brother, Walter (Pat) Soltys as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at the W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. Linda Owens will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted at the Chapel by members of the Moose Jaw Branch #59. Interment will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In living memory of Michael, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to a charity of one's choice.
