DEATHS-
Charles Royal Wetmore was born on October 5, 1865 at Wellsboro, Tioga county, Pennsylvania and died on Thursday, December 21st at the Topeka State hospital where he had been a patient for seven years and 3 months. He came to Kansas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wetmore at the age of twelve or thirteen locating first near St. Bridget later moving to Seneca where he had since resided. He was married in Seneca on October 28, 1890 by Rev. McBride to Miss Sarah A. Hughes. To this union were born ten children. He also leaves eight grandchildren, a brother, Edwin Wetmore and a sister Mrs. Minnie Stone of Portland, Oregon. By trade Charles Wetmore was a mason, a skilled workman, helping to build almost every brick building in Seneca, St. Mary's church, parish house and schoolhouse at St. Benedict and many others.

Mr. Wetmore was a member of the Methodist church and affiliated with the M. W. A. & K. & L of S. lodges. The funeral services at the M. E. church Sunday were held in the afternoon under the auspices of the M. W. A. and conducted by Rev. A. L. Tainter, assisted by Rev. A. B. Appleby. At the cemetery the Security Benefit Association, formerly the Knights and Ladies of Security, read the burial services of that order. The burial was in the Seneca cemetery.
