Richard Edward Cincilla
HAMILTON - Richard Edward Cincilla died Wednesday after a brief stay at RWJ Hospital at Hamilton. He was born in Trenton Aug. 31, 1947, to the late Joseph Paul and Irene Nowak Cincilla. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Bannister Cincilla and four children and their spouses, Beverly Ann and John C. Janeczek, Dr. Kimberly Ann Cincilla and her partner, Jason E. Fish of Seattle, Richard Joseph and Cherol McNab Cincilla and Jonathan Peter Cincilla. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Arrick and Allexandria Morris-Janeczek, Abigail Ann Davidson, Aubrey Hannah, Jocelyn Helena and Sophia Gabriella Cincilla.
He adored his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them sharing stories and jokes.
He also leaves behind his dear cousin, Pamela Durkalski; his sister and brother-in-law, Judith B. and James C. Peoples and lifelong friends, Jerry and Carol Cadenhead, John and Kara Drake, Louis D. Hibbert and Patricia A. Hibbert, and Joe and Cheryl Kirby.
Richard grew up in Hamilton. During his youth, was active in the Cook AA, where he played baseball and began learning Judo. He later earned a brown belt in Judo through the Trenton PAL. He also served as a counselor at a local equestrian camp. A 1965 graduate of Steinert High School, he played guitar in the school bands, played football and
proudly served as the first Steinert Spartan mascot.
He worked at Mideast Aluminum Anodizing, Delaval Steam Turbine Division and CV Hill Refrigeration. In his first year as an insurance representive with Prudential, he was rookie of the year.
He coached baseball at Hamilton Little Lads for many years.
Richard devoted many years of volunteer service to the Colonial and Rusling Hose Fire companies as well as the Rusling Hose and Yardville first aid squads. He was a mobile intensive care paramedic, graduating from the newly-conceived program through the University of Medicine and Dentistry-NJ and became the 184th certified paramedic in the state. Richard also served as professor emeritus with UMDNJ. He served as both a volunteer and a paid MIC-P with the Mercer County Lifemobile program through the Helene Fuld Medical Center and later with the township of Hamilton. He also served as a certified 911 dispatcher with the Hamilton Township Police Department until his retirement from public service earlier this year.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite "vacations" were days spent surf fishing at Island Beach State Park. It didn't matter whether fish were caught or not, every day relaxing at the beach with family and friends was special to him.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many loving, caring friends, neighbors and co-workers.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. His life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Burial will be private. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home.
